SNH publishes the 2011 edition of The Changing Nature of Scotland

The environmental challenges Scotland faces in the years ahead have never been so acute. With the effects of rapidly changing land-use, climate change and economic uncertainties already being felt, it is crucial that we have the best evidence available to underpin the way we care for nature.

The Changing Nature of Scotland – which has recently been published by SNH - provides a unique overview of environmental change across the land, water and seas of Scotland. The forty-two chapters have been written by over 80 authors from a wide range of backgrounds including industry, health, conservation charities, academics and government agencies. This represents a wealth of information about Scotland's nature, how it is changing, how we interact with it and what makes it important.

This book is essential reading for anyone with an interest in Scotland's nature.
