Forest Research overview event announced

Every year Forest Research produces many new pieces of work.  Some of these are the results of long term experiment whilst others are responses to more immediate issues.  However, all are intended to support policy makers and practitioners across the forest industry and those with an interest in forests.  Forest Research is pleased to announce that it will be hosting an Update Seminar that will provide attendees with an overview of a number of different current topics, including:

  • pests and disease
  • forestry and water
  • disturbance of forest wildlife through human activities
  • working on steep ground,
  • risk assessment of existing forest crops with regard to climate change

The event will be held on 17th November 2011,  at the Peregrine Suite, Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort, Aviemore, PH22 1PN.  Further details can be found at the events section of the Forest Research website:  http://www.forestry.gov.uk/fr/infd-64eavk
