Engaging Citizens in Science

A sub-group of the CAMERAS Board met on 21st October to discuss Citizen Science  and how CAMERAS should engage in this agenda? The subgroup comprised; Anna Whyte (Food Standards Agency Scotland), Anne Conrad (SEPA), Ben Dipper (SG, Office of the Chief Scientific Adviser), Charlotte Maltin (Quality Meat Scotland), Andrew Staines (SEPA), Gordon Machray (SASA) and Ian Bainbridge (SNH). The group decided that an audit/survey of science engagement activity (public participation, work with schools and universities and local communities) from each of the CAMERAS partners was needed to decide what type of project would be most beneficial to most of the partners in the group.
