Scottish Environmental Monitoring Strategy

The CAMERAS produced Scottish Environmental Monitoring Strategy has been published and is now available on the Scottish Government website.

The strategy sets out a vision for monitoring in Scotland:

“Scotland’s coordinated programme of environmental monitoring will provide the evidence needed for decision-makers to protect and improve the environment, thereby enhancing people’s wellbeing and supporting sustainable economic growth.”

Implimentation of the strategy is being taken foward as part of the CAMERAS programme of work, lead by SEPA, with Monitoring Action Plans (MAPS) being produced for key areas of monitoring; the first phase of which will be delivered in March, 2012.
